At about 4:45am Thursday morning, Turlock Police responded to a prowler in the backyard of a residence on Hayes Drive.
The caller reported that her father was in the backyard with a man who had first knocked on their door before entering their backyard. He was also bleeding and wearing a hospital wristband.
By the time officers arrived on scene, the man had left, however, he was located a few minutes later at the Arco AMPM in the 100 block of E. Monte Vista Avenue.
Officers immediately recognized the man as Steven Black, 45, of Turlock, someone they had dealt with on several occasions.
Due to Black bleeding from his foot and toes, American Medical Response was requested to check him out.
After being checked out, Black was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of trespassing, public intoxication, and violation of parole.
