At about 11:56pm Saturday, Turlock Police Officer Anthieny was involved in a traffic collision at W. Canal Drive and N. Soderquist Road.

Officer Ottis responded to handle the collision and located two vehicles involved, a white 2021 Toyota Camry and a Turlock Police Department black 2018 Ford Explorer patrol vehicle.

Neither the driver of the Camry, Anthieny, nor her canine partner Herc were injured in the collision.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were able to be driven away from the scene.

Anthieny told Ottis that she was driving westbound on Canal approaching Soderquist, while the Camry was driving southbound on Soderquist approaching Canal. Anthieny arrived at the stop sign prior to the Camry and came to a complete stop, before proceeding through after she noticed the Camry slowing down. As the Camry approached the stop sign, it continued past it while Anthieny’s vehicle was still in the intersection, causing Anthieny to make an evasive maneuver in an attempt to avoid the collision. Unfortunately, the front of the Camry struck the rear right of Anthieny’s vehicle.

Anthieny was not driving under emergency conditions when the collision occurred.
