Merced County Sheriff’s detectives are currently investigating a double homicide that occurred Friday night.
Merced County deputies responded to the 11100 block of Lander Avenue, just south of Turlock, after a female caller reported shots fired and two people had been killed.
The victims were two females.
The suspect was at-large, but was shot and killed Saturday morning at approximately 5:20 a.m. by Merced County Sheriff’s deputies outside of the Motel 6 on the 200 block of South Walnut Road in Turlock. The Turlock Police Department is currently investigating that shooting.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is not releasing the name of the victims or suspect at this time.
The motive and suspect’s relation to the victims is not being released at this time.
