There will also be Saturation Patrols throughout the Memorial Day Weekend on Friday through Sunday, May 28-30, 2010 as extra DUI Roving Patrols will be assigned by police with in the Turlock, Ceres, Modesto, and Oakdale.
Sheriff’s deputies will staff extra DUI units in the city of Patterson and in the unincorporated areas throughout Stanislaus County to support those police departments.
The California Highway Patrol Maximum Enforcement Period will assign all available officers to the regions freeways and unincorporated roads beginning 6 p.m. Friday through midnight Monday.
Funding for the Avoid Campaign is through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
