On Saturday, February 25th, 2023, at 5:24 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of W Main St and Lander Ave, Turlock, was sitting in his vehicle when a man walked up to him and began yelling profanities.

The officer immediately recognized the man as Michael Pianta, 40, of Turlock, who he knew from previous contacts. The officer got out with Pianta and he began walking away eastbound on Market St.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Pianta, he discovered that he had three local misdemeanor bench warrants. The first one was a $1,000 one for causing a public nuisance, the second one was a $1,000 one for trespassing, and the third one was a $5,500 one for trespassing and failure to appear.

The officer caught back up with Pianta down the street and arrested him.

Pianta was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
