On Friday, at about 9:37pm, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and AMR responded to an aggravated assault that had just occurred at Central Park, located at Main Street and Golden State Boulevard, in Downtown Turlock.

The victim was at the Downtown’s Central Park when he was approached by a known male, at which point an argument ensued.

The suspect eventually approached the victim while holding a knife and stabbed him, before fleeing the area on foot. Officers checked the area for the suspect, however, were unable to locate him.

The suspect is a homeless man known to the area.

The victim was ground transported by AMR to a local hospital to be treated for his wound.

The investigation remains ongoing.
