Turlock police are investigating a shooting that took place early Tuesday morning that left one victim with life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the 600 block of 20th Century Boulevard around 4 a.m. after the Turlock Police Department received several 911 calls of a shooting, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
Callers reported hearing gunshots and could hear a male grunting in the background, said Lewis.
Officers arrived to find a 44-year-old male victim suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs and lower back, said Lewis.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The shooting is an ongoing investigation by the Turlock Police Department and no suspects have been named.
