The Turlock Police Department announced today that Alejandro Rosales, 24, of Los Banos, was sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison for his homicide conviction.

On Sunday, January 15th, at 1:38am, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to an aggravated assault that had just occurred behind The Udder Place in the 100 block of W. Main Street.

Units arrived on scene and located Robert Morgan, 31, of Turlock, down on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds. Bystanders rendered aid to Morgan before being relieved by responders who transported him to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives responded to the scene and began investigating, eventually identifying Rosales as their suspect.

Through the investigation, Rosales was located in the 1200 block of W. I Street in Los Banos on Wednesday, March 1st. Rosales was stopped by Turlock Police Detectives and Los Banos Police Officers, who ultimately arrested him and returned him to Stanislaus County.

On Friday, August 4th, Rosales pled guilty to homicide charges.

Rosales was then sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison by The Honorable Judge Nancy Leo on Thursday, September 21st.
