Man on PRCS arrested after prowling around vehicles with vehicle theft tools Tuesday evening

On Tuesday, November 15th, 2022, at 7:12 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious person in front of In-Shape Health Clubs, 2821 Countryside Dr, Turlock, after a man had been seen prowling around the parking lot looking into vehicles.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with a man later identified as Rothona Reach, 37, of Modesto.

Reach was determined to be on post release community supervision for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic, so PRCS searches of his person and nearby parked vehicle were conducted. The searches led to the discovery of shaved keys and other devices used to gain access to vehicles.

Officers called probation and notified them of their findings, which resulted in Reach being found to have violated PRCS.

Reach was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of burglary tools and violation of post release community supervision.
