Man on parole for burglary arrested after trying to break into closed business during broad daylight Saturday afternoon

On Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at 1:22 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported commercial burglary in progress at Lifestyle Realty, 2051 Geer Rd, Turlock, after a subject had been seen on monitored surveillance cameras trying to forcefully open the door of the closed business.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the subject and identified him as Thomas Rodrigues, 38, of Turlock.

Officers began investigating and learned that Rodrigues was on parole for burglary. Although Rodrigues had not actually committed a burglary by simply trying to open the businesses’ closed doors, his parole agent was contacted who made the decision to place him on a hold pending a parole revocation hearing.

Rodrigues was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of violation of parole.
