On Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, at 9:25 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported sick person in the dirt field at 2333 Lander Ave, Turlock, who was possibly deceased.

Officers were the first to arrive on scene and began CPR on the man, however, when firefighters and paramedics arrived, they immediately declared him deceased.

The man was identified as Albert Barr, 61, of Turlock.

Officers began interviewing witnesses who stated that they believed Barr had ingested narcotics prior to the incident.

Barr was picked up by the on-call deputy coroner and transported to the coroner’s facility, where an autopsy will ultimately be conducted to determine his cause of death.
