Man crashes into home after having medical episode Friday afternoon

On Friday, April 9th, 2021, at approximately 1:10 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a call of an injury vehicle collision in the 1400 block of Burman Dr. The Turlock Police Department responded along with American Medical Response and the Turlock Fire Department’s Battalion 4, Engine 31, Squad 32, and Engine 33.

Fire crews arrived on scene a few minutes later and began rendering medical aid to the driver as well as checking the home’s stabilization. The driver stated that he was driving and the next thing he knew was he woke up to his truck crashed into a home. Once an ambulance arrived, the driver was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries. A building inspector responded to assist in determining the structure’s stability. It was determined that it was stable and its residents would be able to stay in it while repairs are being made.

The Turlock Police Department began their investigation and checked for any surveillance cameras in the area which could have possibly captured the collision or the moments leading up to it. The investigation remains on-going.
