At about 12:34am Tuesday, Turlock Police Officer Rocha made a bicycle stop at N. Broadway and W. Canal Drive.

Rocha made contact with and identified the bicyclist as Benjamin Gruber, 42, of Sacramento.

When Rocha had his dispatcher run Gruber, he discovered he had a $2,500 local misdemeanor bench warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gruber was arrested and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of metal knuckles and methamphetamines.

After being transported to the jail, Gruber entered the facility with additional contraband on him.

Gruber was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of metal knuckles, bringing a controlled substance or drug paraphernalia into a jail, and his warrant.
