On Saturday, April 15th, 2023, at 2:24 pm, Turlock Police investigators and Stanislaus Probation officers arrived at a residence in the 1900 block of Porter Way, Turlock, to conduct a probation search.
Upon making contact with Andre Slater, 38, of Turlock, he resisted and attempted to conceal evidence. He was detained in handcuffs.
A probation search of the residence was then conducted which led to the discovery of an unidentifiable short-barrelled gun and narcotics.
Slater was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, altering a firearm’s mark of identification, possession of a short-barrelled rifle or shotgun, obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty, possession of methamphetamines, and concealing or destroying evidence in an investigation or trial.
