At about 1:27am Monday morning, Officer Villapudua made a traffic stop in the 100 block of Bernell Avenue for observed California Vehicle Code violations.
Villapudua made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Matthew Aure, 35, of Modesto.
When Villapudua had his dispatcher run Aure, he discovered that he had a $50,000 felony Ramey warrant out of Merced County for burglary.
During a subsequent search, Aure was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.
Aure was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as his warrant.
He was then later picked up by the Merced County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Main Jail.
