At about 2:03am Tuesday, Turlock Police Officer Arroyo got out with a suspicious person in the 300 block of Wayside Drive.

Arroyo made contact with and identified the man as Claudio Parra, 38, of Modesto.

When Arroyo had his dispatcher run Parra, he discovered two bench warrants. The first was a $30,000 local felony one for grand theft, resisting a peace officer, falsely identifying to a peace officer, and possession of methamphetamines, while the second was a $10,500 misdemeanor one out of Stanislaus County for trespassing, theft, and possession of methamphetamines.

Parra was arrested and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of a meth pipe.

Parra was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and his warrants.
