At about 1:18am Wednesday, Turlock Police Officer Rocha got out with a suspicious person at Quik Stop in the 1200 block of Geer Road.

Rocha recognized the man as Anthony Gorial, 37, of Turlock, and believed he was wanted for grand theft and conspiracy.

Rocha contacted Gorial and had his dispatcher run him.

It was discovered Gorial had two misdemeanor bench warrants, one $6,500 local for possession of drug paraphernalia and the other out of Ceres.

The local wants also popped up, but the probable cause declaration for them wasn’t. It was later determined the district attorney’s office had refused to file charges.

Gorial was arrested for the two good warrants and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of methamphetamines on his person.

Gorial was released on a citation for possession of methamphetamines and his warrants.
