Man Arrested for Narcotics and Felony Warrant During Bicycle Stop

At about 12:47am Saturday, Turlock Police Officer Nunez made a bicycle stop at N. Thor Street and E. Olive Avenue.

Nunez made contact with and identified the bicyclist as Miguel Salas, 29, of Turlock.

When Nunez had his dispatcher run Salas, he discovered he was on searchable probation out of San Joaquin County for grand theft and Stanislaus County for false personation. He also had a $50,000 felony bench warrant out of Manteca for grand theft and obstructing or resisting a public officer.

Salas was arrested and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of narcotics.

Salas was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and his warrant.
