On Sunday, March 6th, 2022, at 10:30 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported sex offense at Arco AMPM, 2301 Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, after two witnesses saw an older male making out with a juvenile female in a vehicle behind the gas station.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the vehicle in the same general area but not at the gas station, with the two still in it.
After a brief investigation, William Mossmayer, 41, of South Carolina, was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of engaging in a lewd act with a child 14 years of age or younger.
It is currently unknown how Mossmayer knew the child.
