On Wednesday, August 17th, 2022, at 3:11 am, a Turlock Police officer near Circle K, 1600 W Main St, Turlock, made contact with a man who he recognized and believed to be on probation.
The man, Marcos Lopez, 56, of Ceres denied being on probation, however, when the officer had his dispatcher run him, it was confirmed that he was on probation and he also had a misdemeanor warrant out of Modesto for possession of methamphetamines.
A subsequent search of Lopez’s vehicle led to the discovery of paraphernalia used for smoking methamphetamines.
When Lopez was questioned about it, he denied having knowledge that it was there, however, admitted to smoking methamphetamines earlier in the day.
Lopez was arrested and released on a citation on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and his warrant.
