“Macbeth” Under the Stars at CSU Stanislaus

“Fair is foul, and foul is fair” at the California State University, Stanislaus Department of Theater’s spring performance of William Shakespeare’s legendary play “Macbeth.”

Regarded as one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, “Macbeth” is a supernatural tale of a Scottish lord's lust for power and its repercussions.

Directed by CSU Stanislaus Professor of Theater Jere O’Donnell, the spring performance will feature a special guest in the title role – Chicago-based professional actor Daniel Gately.

“Macbeth” will run from April 30 to May 5 at the open-air University Amphitheatre, located at One University Circle in Turlock. The play will begin at sundown each day, with gates opening at 6 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring low back chairs or blankets for seating. No alcohol or glass containers are permitted, but many guests bring picnic dinners.
