Sixteen year old Luis Maldonado~Garcia of Winton was fatally shot Wednesday. Luis was born in Turlock, CA to Julian Garcia and Martha Maldonado, and has resided in Winton for the last nine years. He was a current student at Atwater High, where he leaves behind many friends.

Luis was a young man with a wealth of potential and promising life ahead of him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love for his family. He and his mother shared an amazing relationship, as well as his two brothers, whom he was very close to. Luis was a vibrant young man, with many friends, whom he enjoyed hanging out, playing basketball, and joking around with.

He leaves behind his loving mother Martha Maldonado of Winton, brothers; Fernando Garcia-Maldonado of Delano, Ca, and Alberto Garcia-Maldonado of Delhi, Ca.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22, 10:00 am ~ 5:00 pm, the Rosary will begin at 5:00 pm, at Allen Mortuary. A Mass will be Thursday, July 23, at 10:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
