On Monday, November 1, 2021, Turlock Police Department Detectives arrested a 38 year-old Daniel James Baudino, teacher and resident of Turlock, following an investigation of sex crimes that occurred between June 2016 to August 2016.The confidential victim, who was a juvenile at the time these crimes occurred, reported these incidents on Thursday, October 28, 2021. These incidents occurred while Baudino was a teacher and employed at Turlock High School. Baudino is currently a teacher at Turlock Junior High School and is now on paid administrative leave, which is their standard protocol.Upon learning of these allegations, Turlock Police Detectives immediately began an investigation and quickly obtained a search warrant. Evidence of these allegations was discovered as a result of their work. Detectives learned there is a fifteen-year age gap between Baudino and the confidential victim. Their investigation led to the arrest of Baudino on Monday, when he was taken into custody while working at Turlock Junior High School.Baudino was brought to the Turlock Police Department and interviewed by Detectives. He was then transported and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail on five counts of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and four counts of oral copulation with a minor.Although only one victim has come forward at this time, Detectives believe there are possibly other victims. The booking photograph in this investigation is being released with hopes that any witnesses or victims who recognize Baudino from this crime, or any unreported crimes, will come forward.As this is an on-going investigation, no additional information concerning this case will be released at this time.The Turlock Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding this on-going investigation to call Detective Timothy Redd at (209) 664-7325. Shoplifter Arrested After Officers On-View Theft
At about 5:21pm Thursday, Turlock Police responded to a suspicious person at Kohl’s in the 2700 block of Countryside Drive.
