On Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at 1:55 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision in the 100 block of Minaret Ave, Turlock.
When officers arrived on scene, they located three vehicles involved. One was a red Mercedes-Benz sedan, one was a gray GMC pickup truck which was lying on its passenger side, and the other one was a black Chevrolet coupe.
The driver of the red Mercedes-Benz sedan had fled the scene on foot prior to officers’ arrival and the other two vehicles were legally parked on the side of the road and unoccupied.
The red Mercedes-Benz sedan sustained major damage and the gray GMC pickup truck sustained moderate damage. They were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away. The black Chevrolet coupe also sustained moderate damage, however, was able to be left parked on the side of the road.
It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
The investigation remains on-going.
