TJ and Rachel Johnson organized the 2nd Annual Henry’s March in support of the Children’s Craniofacial Association. CCA is an amazing organization that supports, emotionally and financially, children diagnosed with facial disfigurements.
The Johnson’s son Henry was born with Apert Syndrome. This syndrome affects the development of the face and skull along with finger and toe fusing issues.
CCA is an organization and good cause that TJ and Rachel Johnson wanted to support. Last year the 1st Annual Henry’s March raised around $24,000 with short notice.
Even during the recession, Henry’s March 2009 has raised over $21,000 so far. Checks are still coming in the mail from people who couldn’t attend but still wanted to support the Johnson’s and/or the cause.
There were about 1,000 people in attendance including the runners, spectators, vendors, friends, family, and ordinary event goers.
Rachel Johnson said “We had an awesome day and can’t wait to do it again next year!”
