Turlock Mayor John Lazar will throw out the first pitch at the Modesto Nuts game on Aug 2., as local ballclub celebrates the first annual City of Turlock Night at the Ballpark.
“I’m excited about the First Annual City of Turlock Night at the Modesto Nuts Game!” said Turlock Mayor John Lazar. “The Turlock region is fortunate to have a professional baseball team and I’m especially happy to see Turlock recognized as Nuts’ fans!”
The ballgame will feature the Modesto Nuts taking on the Stockton Ports. The game will begin at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 2, at John Thurman Field, 601 Neece Dr., Modesto.
Tickets are $6 for adults, and $5 for seniors and children. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
“I hope our community comes out to enjoy the game with my family,” said Lazar.
To drive to John Thurman Field from Turlock via Highway 99, exit on Tuolumne Boulevard and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Take the first left onto Neece Drive and travel one-quarter mile, where the ballpark will be on the right hand side.
