Firefighters respond to four arson fires early Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021, at 1:39 am, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported trash fire at Chevron, 2300 W Main St, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a dumpster behind the business fully involved. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out and keep it contained to the dumpster.

At 1:43 am, firefighters were dispatched to a second reported trash fire at Turlock Poker Room, 2321 W Main St.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found two dumpsters side by side behind the business, one fully involved and the other partially involved. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fires out and keep them contained to the dumpsters.

At 1:57 am, firefighters were dispatched to a reported grass fire along the southbound State Route 99 on-ramp at W Main St.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found some grass and other vegetation including a tree fully involved. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out and keep it contained to the vegetation.

Due to the fires being in such close proximity and time to each other, they were all determined to be arson fires.

The Turlock Police Department responded to conduct an arson investigation and check the area for a possible suspect. Unfortunately, they were unable to locate one.

Surveillance cameras were checked at Turlock Poker Room, however, it is currently unknown what those videos showed.
