At about 3:36pm Thursday, Turlock Fire and Turlock Police responded to a public assistance call at Crowell Elementary School in the 100 block of North Avenue.
The caller reported a toddler was accidentally locked in a running vehicle.
When units arrived on scene, firefighters used their lockout emergency vehicle access tool to open the driver door and get to the toddler.
The toddler was found to be in good health.
