At about 4:34pm Tuesday, Turlock Fire, Modesto Fire, Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit, Turlock Police, and American Medical Response responded to a working structure fire at Hollybrook Apartments in the 900 block of N. Olive Avenue.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a light haze coming from one of the apartments.
Upon making entry, firefighters found a mattress on fire in a second-story bedroom that they quickly extinguished using a water can.
A majority of the responding resources were canceled.
AMR tended to two of the apartment’s occupants who complained of difficulty breathing.
The Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
No injuries were reported, besides the two occupants with difficulty breathing.
