On Saturday, February 26th, 2022, at 8:10 pm, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported residential working structure fire in the 1700 block of Provo St, Turlock.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single story single family dwelling with smoke emitting from its roof. They made entry into the home and found a fire that had started in a room and extended into the attic.
Firefighters worked in the offensive strategy and were able to quickly bring the fire under control and knock it down within minutes, preventing any further spread.
Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period of time after the fire was out, conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post fire activities.
The Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigations Unit responded to the scene to investigate the fire, American Medical Response responded to the scene to provide firefighter and patient care, the Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric responded to the scene to secure utilities, while the Turlock Rural Fire Protection District provided city coverage during the duration of the incident.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
