A female subject was arrested on Thursday afternoon after allegedly being seen attempting to steal copper wire from a Turlock Irrigation District yard, but her alleged accomplice remains at-large.
Officers responded to the TID yard at 1101 N. Broadway Ave. at approximately 3:41 p.m. after a witness spotted a male and female allegedly stealing copper wire.
When officers arrived on scene, the male subject had already been able to get away, according to the Turlock Police Department.
However, they were able to contact the female subject, Brenda Croteau, 35.
Croteau was arrested for petty theft.
The male subject has not been arrested at this time.
