On Thursday, May 11th, 2023, at 10:30 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of N First St and Flower St, Turlock, observed a man driving a vehicle without any license plates attached to it, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The man, later identified as Michael Holder, 49, of Modesto, immediately pulled into an alleyway, exited his vehicle, and began running. The officer attempted to tase Holder, however, missed.

Holder then jumped a fence and continued running, eventually entering the backyard of a residence in the 300 block of Flower St and being spotted by an officer doing so.

Additional officers arrived at the residence and entered the backyard where they located and arrested Holder without incident.

Holder was identified and discovered to have two no-bail felony bench warrants out of Tuolumne County, the first for possession of methamphetamines for sale and transporting or selling methamphetamines, and the second for failure to appear and committing a felony while on bail or release. He was also on probation out of Tuolumne County for failure to appear and out of Montery County for possession of methamphetamines for sale.

Holder was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty, possession of methamphetamines, and driving a vehicle without both of its license plates attached to it, as well as his warrants.
