Many Turlockers started off their weekend with a drink or two on Friday afternoon, but for some it ended up with an arrest.
Perhaps due to the extreme heat, a number of drunken people fell down or passed out in public over the weekend.
At 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Tully/ Chakkar Estates, 31-year-old Daryl Watts was arrested for public intoxication after falling down while pushing a bicycle. While he was being transported to jail the owner of the bike reported it as stolen, and Watts was charged with possession of stolen property.
On Saturday morning at 1:23 a.m. in the area of South Broadway and Main Street, 28-year-old Christopher Seward was contacted because he was “stumbling down the street.”
The rash of wayward drunkards continued at about 2:30 a.m. at the 3000 block of Countryside Avenue when 25-year-old Atristeo Solorio was arrested for public intoxication after being found passed out on the sidewalk.
But of course the evening wasn’t over for TPD. At 3:16 a.m. 25-year-old Victor Pena was arrested for public intoxication in the 200 block of West Main Street.
