An intoxicated man got himself arrested Tuesday after deciding to check out what Turlock police were doing at a different crime scene.

Timothy Lacey, 24, was being arrested by Turlock police at approximately 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, in the 1000 block of N. Olive Avenue, for felony domestic violence-related battery.

At the same time, a man later identified as Roberto Cardenas, 27, decided to see what the police activity was.

Cardenas allegedly “staggered” towards the officers on scene, asking what what was going on.

Cardenas was allegedly intoxicated and in violation of his parole terms. Cardenas also had an active felony warrant for his arrest.

Both Lacey and Cardenas were arrested and booked.
