On Sunday, October 16th, 2022, at 12:54 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision in front of a residence in the 400 block of West Ave S, Turlock.
When officers arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first one was a red Toyota sedan and the second one was a silver Infiniti coupe.
The red Toyota sedan had a total of three occupants, driver Brayan Inocente, 29, of Turlock, his infant daughter, and his toddler son. Their extent of injuries remain unknown. The silver Infiniti coupe was parked and unoccupied.
While speaking with Inocente, officers noticed that he was exhibiting objective symptoms of being under the influence, so they asked him if he would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. He agreed and completed the tests.
Based on the totality of the circumstances, officers determined that Inocente was under the influence of alcohol.
Inocente was arrested and provided an evidentiary breath sample at the scene as required by California’s implied consent law. The breath sample revealed that Inocente had a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater. Inocente was then transported to a local hospital where he was medically cleared.
Afterwards, Inocente booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater causing injury, and child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision. The red Toyota sedan was towed away and the silver Infiniti coupe was left parked where it was.
It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
