Drunk Driver With 10 Cocaine Baggies Arrested

At about 1:53am Saturday, Turlock Police Officer Khounlivong made a traffic stop at Third Street and B Street.

Khounlivong made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Agustin Aguirre, 19, of Livingston.

While speaking with Aguirre, Khounlivong noticed he was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence, so he removed him from his vehicle and requested Officer Ayala respond to conduct a DUI investigation.

Ayala put Aguirre through standardized field sobriety tests and had him blow into a preliminary alcohol screening device.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, Ayala determined Aguirre was under the influence of alcohol and arrested him.

By standing by the vehicle, Khounlivong what appeared to be narcotics in plain view.

During a subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle, Khounlivong recovered 10 small baggies of cocaine that appeared to be for sale.

Aguirre was issued a driver’s license suspension order and his vehicle was towed.

Aguirre was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a material affixed to the windshield or windows.
