Turlock police arrested a drunk driver on the morning of March 7 after he collided with a parked car and an electrical box.
The police responded to the 1400 block of Dancer Way shortly before 5 a.m. after a driver, later identified as Michael Whiteside, 24, collided with a parked vehicle.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the driver collided with the parked vehicle and pushed it approximately 100 yards until it collided with another parked vehicle.
The suspect traveled around the neighborhood until the vehicle lost its front wheel and the vehicle jumped the curb, colliding with a Turlock Irrigation District electrical box on 4600 Fireside Drive.
The collision knocked out power for the entire subdivision, said Lewis.
Whiteside then traveled back to the scene of the first collision, where he was contacted by officers.
Officers conducted a standard field sobriety test and determined that Whiteside had been driving under the influence of alcohol, said Lewis.
Whiteside was arrested and cited for DUI.
