On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at 10:22 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of W Main St and West Ave N, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a single vehicle involved, a silver Toyota sedan, which had struck a traffic light pole.
The vehicle had two occupants, its driver, identified as Alma Gonzalezgarcia, 21, of Turlock, and her passenger. Gonzalezgarcia was uninjured, however, her passenger suffered minor injuries and was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

The vehicle sustained major damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
Gonzalezgarcia was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving while intoxicated causing injuries and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater causing injuries.
