A driver was hospitalized after being involved in a fiery collision with two semi-trucks just outside of Turlock Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol received report of the collision at approximately 10:28 a.m.
An SUV was traveling on East Avenue about a mile past Santa Fe Avenue when the vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and collided with a big rig, reports Central Valley TV.
The drifting SUV then collided with a second big rig after narrowly missing a head on collision with the first big rig, according to Central Valley TV reports. At that time, the SUV erupted into flames and stopped off the roadway.
A passing motorist was able to give the driver of the SUV aid until firefighters arrived on scene, said Central Valley TV.
The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries, however Central Valley TV reports that injuries were only moderate.
