The Cal State Stanislaus Men’s basketball team continues to make school history.
With a win over Chico State, 82-70, in Saturday’s California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship final, the Warriors earned their first conference tournament title.
And, with the win, the Warriors get an automatic bid to the NCAA Div. II Championship tournament.
The win is the Warriors’ seventh straight. The team has improved to 21-8 overall, tied with the 1988-89 team for most wins in school history. The 21 victories are the most for the school at the Div. II level.
The regional tournament seeding for the NCAA tournament was announced Sunday night. The No. 7 seed Warriors will face No. 2 Seattle Pacific University on Friday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m.
