Blue Santa and members of the Turlock Police Department visited with kids in afterschool programs at Turlock elementary schools this week to share some tips on holiday safety.

Operation Blue Santa has been underway since November, with Blue Santa accepting donations and visiting the Festival of Lights and Turlock Downtown Christmas Parade.

Thanks to the generous donations from members of the community, each of the children at the Osborn, Cunningham, and Wakefield Elementary after school programs visited by Blue Santa received a special gift.

Along with the special gift, Blue Santa also provided the children some valuable information, including some holiday safety tips.

Blue Santa will continue his visitations next week as he stops in to personally visit families in need. Donations have been collected via Operation Blue Santa since it began and those donations, which include new, unwrapped toys, and monetary donations, will be donated to less fortunate families.
