A male who fell off a bicycle and hit his head Friday night was transported to an area hospital, but was declared deceased.

Turlock police were called to the 1700 block of Fulkerth Road on the report of a man down at approximately 8:10 p.m.

Initial reports led the responding units to believe that the subject, who had been riding a bicycle, was hit by a vehicle, said the Turlock Police Department.

Upon arriving, authorities also believed that the victim had been in a confrontation with a resident of the home the victim fell in front of.

According to the Turlock Police Department, it was determined that the victim had fallen under his own power, possibly due to a medical condition.

When the victim fell, he hit his head on the ground. The victim was transported to an area hospital, but was pronounced deceased.

At the time of the incident, the Turlock Police Department had not identified the victim.
