During stormy seasons, the City of Turlock – Municipal Services Department offers free sandbags to Turlock residents to help prevent flooding.

Sandbags help prevent leaves and other debris from blocking the storm drains.

There is no charge for the sandbags from the City, but disposal becomes the responsibility of the citizen.

Sandbags can be picked up at 901 S. Walnut Rd. Sandbags may be picked up between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours may be extended and additional sand bag pickup locations may be added if demand is high.
