Turlock eatery Green Grub celebrated its first year in business on Monday.
Green Grub, located at 2922 Geer Rd. in the former home of House of Java and House of Yogurt, Too, serves healthy salads, sandwiches and breakfast foods. The restaurant specializes in its “green” smoothies; the Green Grub House Shake includes blueberries, spinach, kale, protein, almond milk, and organic peanut butter.
The restaurant gave away mugs, cups, pens and food samples to celebrate its first anniversary, and Brenda Athletic Club was on-site to sign up new members.
