Cars turned around and drove away from the Safeway gas station Wednesday, as a service company taped off pumps near the corner of Monte Vista Avenue and Countryside Drive.
According to a service worker on site, the closure came due to a routine check-up for the station which occurs about once a year.
This service was spur of the moment however, as Safeway called the service company worker to stop by when they realized he was in the area. Usually a constant bustle, customers were unable to fill up for about a half an hour.
