Landscaping work has been completed in the new median on Monte Vista Avenue at Niagra Street.
The landscaping was done as part of a $887,037.25 plan to repave Monte Vista Avenue between Crowell Road and Geer Road, approved by the Turlock City Council in September 2012.
The new median was built where an opening previously allowed for drivers to turn left onto Monte Vista Avenue from Niagra Street. Such unprotected left turns are considered very dangerous.
Repaving of Monte Vista Avenue is expected resume on April 7.
