What is typically a normal winter sight has become very rare during this dry winter season.
That rare sight is a stormwater basin, located at the intersection of W. Canal Drive and N. Walnut Road, filled with water.
Thanks to a couple rainy days this week, Wednesday and Friday, Turlock’s finally getting some water.
This comes after the Turlock Irrigation District approved what will be the driest irrigation season in history on Tuesday, and California Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency due to drought on Jan. 17.
