If a tree falls on the sidewalk, and no one is around to hear, does it make a sound? We may never know.

This “sudden branch drop,” as it is called when branches break from trees during the hot summer months with no heavy wind, may not have been heard, but was definitely seen.

The branch was moved from the sidewalk to the grassy area between Hedstrom Road and the Raley’s parking lot on Geer Road.
