Turlock Recreation Swimming to Open Monday

To beat the summer heat, many will be heading to the Turlock recreation pools which open Monday.

The City of Turlock – Parks, Recreations, and Public Facilities Facebook announced that Monday will be the first day of recreation swim at Pitman High School, Turlock High School, and Columbia Park pools.

Columbia Park pool, located at 600 Columbia St., is open Monday through Thursday from 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

Pitman High School pool, located at 2525 W. Christoffersen Parkway., is open 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and the Turlock High School pool, located at 1600 E. Canal Dr., is open 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Of the three pools, Columbia’s is the only pool that will be open on the Fourth of July.

Entry to the pools is $1 for those 17 years old and under, and $2 for those 18 and over. Children must be at least eight years old to get into the pools without an adult.

The City of Turlock aquatic playgrounds are also now open to the public, with two locations to choose from: Columbia Park and Broadway Park, located at 501 N. Broadway.
