A teenager pepper sprayed a Turlock police officer after police responded to a disturbance on Tuesday evening.
At 5:13 p.m., Turlock police responded to the 300 block of Hawkeye Avenue on a report of a disturbance.
A 16-year-old male was threatening to assault a relative, said Turlock Police Department spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
When police arrived, the juvenile locked himself in a room. Police proceeded to enter the room and the teenager pepper sprayed one of the officers, said Lewis.
“The juvenile was arrested without further incident,” said Lewis.
There were no injuries in either the disturbance or the arrest.
The juvenile was arrested for battery of a peace officer and was booked at juvenile hall.
